FAQ

Ask us anything. Here's a head start.

If your question isn't here, bring it to your free call, or ask in our WhatsApp group any time. How we research and date our guides is set out in our editorial policy.

About the service

Do you help with SAT, ACT or TOEFL prep?

No, we do not tutor for any exam. Our focus is the applications, the essays and, above all, the scholarships. We can start on the school list and the personal statement before your results arrive, since neither needs a score.

Can you guarantee I'll get admitted or funded?

No one honest can. Admissions and aid decisions belong to the universities. What we guarantee is the process: a smart aid-first list, polished essays, complete and on-time aid forms, and an advisor who has done this dozens of times. Our track record is on the wins wall.

Which countries do you cover?

Mostly the US, where the biggest need-based aid lives, plus Canada, the UK, NYU Abu Dhabi and strong African options like ALU. On your call we'll tell you honestly where your profile is most fundable.

Money & payment

How much does it cost?

The Full Journey is $850 (≈ GH₵ 9,860) for a full application season. If you only need help with the essay or the scholarship paperwork, those are $250 and $300. Everything is confirmed in writing on your free call, before anything begins. See Services & Pricing.

Can we pay in cedis? In instalments?

Yes and yes. We accept mobile money and bank transfer in cedis at the day's rate, and the Full Journey is paid in two instalments: 70% to start and 30% partway through, so you never pay for work that hasn't happened.

Is this worth it if my family can pay some tuition?

Often more so. Families who can contribute $10–20k a year unlock a much wider set of need-aware schools, and a well-argued CSS Profile still cuts the bill dramatically. We optimise whatever budget you have.

Working together

When should I start?

Ideally at least 4 months before your deadlines, so around July for November deadlines. Earlier is easier, and later can still work: bring us your timeline on the call and we'll tell you honestly what's doable.

How do we meet if I'm not in Accra?

Everything works over Google Meet and WhatsApp; we have students from Tamale to Takoradi. If you're in Accra and prefer to meet in person for the first session, that's possible too.

Are my parents part of the process?

Yes, especially for the money side. The CSS Profile is built from your family's documents, so we hold a dedicated parents' session (in English or Twi) to walk through what's needed and why. Parents are warmly welcome on the first call.

What happens on the free call?

Thirty minutes: we review your scores, grades, activities and budget, sketch what schools and funding are realistic, and explain what working together would look like. No pressure, no obligation. Some students take the plan and run with it themselves. Book it here.

Still curious? Let's talk it through.
