Compare your financial aid offers

Type in the figures from each award letter, and see what your family would pay each year and over four years, in dollars and cedis, with any loans counted as a cost.

Use the yearly figures from each letter. If a line is missing, ask the aid office before you compare. Our guide to reading an award letter explains each line.

How it works: family pays this year = cost of attendance minus grants, work and loans. Over four years = (family pays + loans) × 4, assuming the offer renews unchanged. Need-based aid is recalculated each year, so ask each university how it renews.

Your figures are saved on this phone or computer only. Nothing you type is sent to us.

The numbers are only part of the choice. Our guide to comparing aid offers covers renewal, outside scholarships and what to weigh besides money, and appealing an aid offer explains when to ask for more.
