How we work

Students across Ghana, one application season at a time.

We help students apply abroad and go after the funding that decides whether they can go. This page explains what that involves, what it costs, and what we will not do.

What we do and what we do not

What we do ✓

  • Build a school list around who funds internationals
  • Coach your personal statement and every supplemental essay
  • Fill in and submit applications with you, line by line
  • Complete the CSS Profile, ISFAA and IDOC with your parents
  • Find and apply to scholarships you genuinely qualify for
  • Read your aid offers and appeal where there is room
  • Prepare you for the F-1 interview at the Accra embassy

What we do not ✗

  • SAT, WASSCE, IELTS or TOEFL tutoring of any kind
  • Guarantee admission, scholarships or a visa
  • Understate family income on an aid form
  • Take a cut from any university or scholarship programme
  • Charge for the first call, ever

What we hold ourselves to

  1. We tell you when we cannot help

If your profile is not ready, or your deadlines are too close to do the work properly, we say so on the free call. Turning work away costs us less than taking money for work that cannot land.

  2. We write your essays with you, not for you

We ask the questions, shape the structure, draft alongside you and edit hard. What we will not do is hand you a finished essay you had no part in. Admissions readers see thousands a year, and an essay with no trace of the student in it is easy to spot and costs them more than a rough one in their own voice.

  3. We do not promise outcomes

No advisor controls an admissions or aid decision. We commit to the work: a list built around funding, complete forms, real deadlines met early. Anyone guaranteeing you a place or a scholarship is selling something they cannot deliver.

  4. Your family's documents stay yours

We ask only for what a form requires, use it only to complete your applications, and delete our copies at the end of the season. Ask us to delete something sooner and we will.

  5. The price is agreed before we start

Written down after the free call, in dollars and cedis, with what it covers. No hourly billing, no extras invented halfway through the season.

How we are paid

Families pay us directly, and nobody else pays us anything. We take no commission from universities, agents or scholarship programmes, which is why we can tell you a famous school is a poor bet for your family.

Prices are agreed in writing after your free call, in dollars with the cedi figure at that day's rate. You can pay by mobile money, bank transfer or card. The Full Journey is split into two payments so you are never paying ahead of the work.

If money is the thing stopping you, say so on the call. We have spread payments further for families before, and everything on our resources page is free and always will be.

What the first call looks like

Thirty minutes on Google Meet. It is free, there is nothing to pay afterwards unless you decide to work with us, and parents are welcome to sit in.

  1. First 10 minutes
You talk. Your results, your subjects, what you want to study, where you have been thinking of applying and why.
  2. Next 10 minutes
The money question, asked plainly: roughly what can your family put in each year? We need a real number to say anything useful about which schools are worth applying to.
  3. Next 5 minutes
Our honest read. Which countries and types of school fit your profile, what is realistic, what is not, and what your timeline needs to look like from here.
  4. Last 5 minutes
What working together would involve and what it would cost, or that you do not need us. Some students take the plan and do it themselves, and that is a good outcome.
  5. Afterwards
A written summary by email within two working days: what we discussed, the schools worth looking at, and a price if you asked for one. No follow-up calls unless you ask for them.

Questions about working with us

Do I have to decide on the call?

No. Nobody is asked to commit on a first call. You get a written summary afterwards and can take as long as you need. If we do not hear from you we will not chase you.

Can my parents join?

Please bring them. Half the call is about money, and the financial aid work later runs through them. We are happy to speak English or Twi.

What if we cannot afford any of your services?

Then take the plan from the free call and do it yourself. Our guides and the free ebook cover the same ground we would walk you through, and students have been funded working from those alone. The call stays free either way.

How many students do you take?

Around 30 a season, so that each one gets a named advisor rather than a queue. Intake closes on 10 December, or earlier if we fill up before then.

Where are you based?

Accra. Everything runs over Google Meet and WhatsApp so it makes no difference where in Ghana you are, though we can meet in person in Accra for a first session if you would rather.

Akwaaba. Let's talk about your future.

Thirty free minutes, no obligation, parents welcome. You will leave knowing what is realistic for your results and your budget.
